It was a cold December night in 2018 when our first chapter started. The date was Friday, December 14, and the setting - Mulchay's Ugly Sweater Party. Now, this isn't a love at first sight story, but a love story nonetheless.

Our first encounter will surprise you, as we may have gotten off on the wrong foot. Our first words were, 'Oh my god. Who is on the aux right now. Are they seriously playing Akon?!"

(Now, I know what you might be thinking right now, and the answer is yes - Akon was most definitely on the Wolfpack's playlist. )

As I refused to remove myself from the aux, we continued to listen to 2010s greatest dance hits and went on with our night.

The following Monday, I received a text from an acquaintance of mine asking for my snapchat handle. He told me his friend, Tatum, thinks I'm cute. Little did I know, until two years later, that it was not Tatum who thought I was cute. It was Tatum asking for Alex.

Once Alex graduated and moved back to Long Island we started running into each other more frequently in 2019. Some of you may even recall a summer night at Finely's. Our relationship took a turn (for the better) in 2020, and by the time the pandemic hit, we had become best friends.

We were inseparable from the lockdown on and would do everything together along with our crew of six (you know who you are). Around halfway through that summer, I realized that I had feelings for Alex, feelings that were not of friendship. Next thing you know it was the holiday season, and I vividly remember being surrounded by my family on Christmas Eve and thinking to myself 'I would love to have Alex here with me next year.'

We ended up taking a New Year's trip to Florida with our group of friends, and the clock struck midnight on our friendship. I told Alex on that trip that she was my 'end game,' and the rest, as the kids say, is history.



I knew I was going to marry Alex from that moment on. There was never a doubt in my mind.

Never in my life have I came across someone that could complete me in so many ways. She is truly my other half, the easiest person for me to get along with, the sweetest girl in the world and has an absolute heart of gold.

Proposing to her was the easiest decision of my life - it was never an ‘if’ I was going to do it, but a ‘when.’

She is my best friend. She was an amazing girlfriend, she is now an outstanding fiancé, and I know she will be an even more stunning wife.
